  I have looked for this type of purse for years and finally found it, here. I love it. Two of my friends like it so much they want me to order them one, also.

  I love the organizational design of this purse, but the exterior black leather has now rubbed away revealing a turquoisy blue color beneath. As an artist I can make that work, but no “genuine leather” purse I have ever owned disintegrated in this way.

  I don’t know where the 5-star reviews came from, but they certainly could not have come from mature women not working for the vendor or the manufacturer. This bag is NOT quiet as advertised. In fact, it comes closer to false advertising without actually breaking the law than any other product I personally have seen on amazon.

  1. Beware. The picture makes it appear bigger than it actually is.

  2. It is NOT 3″ deep as advertised. The outside dimention across the bottom of the bag is only 2″ deep, even when stretched as far as I can stretch it without destroying the thing. Inside dimention is a little less.

  3. The cellphone pocket is only 1 3/4″ wide when stretched out. If you have a very small phone it might work for you, but for me, it will hold only a pen and a tube of lipstick, or maybe a foldup hair brush, but not all three.

  4. The main compartment will just barely hold my kindle in its M-Edge case. There is no room left for anything else. None at all, unless you count a few pieces of paper. There is no center divider.

  5. There is a zipper pocket on the front of the organizer pocket. It has a depth of 4″ and an overall opening length of 5 1/2″. This pocket does not yield very much, so do not look to stuff it with much more than some business cards.

  6. The zippered pocket on the back has roughly the same dimentions as the one on the front, but it does give a little bit more.

  7. The organizer on the front of the bag will hold a very thin cell phone, similar to a Blackberry, but not one much thicker than that, and there is room for 6 credit cards. It has a center divider pocket that is 2 3/4″ deep. Just like the pocket on the front of the organizer, this pocket will not stuff easily without destroying it.

  Frankly, I would not call this bag a purse or a tot (as I envision a tot). It is more like the size and shape of a toiletries kit. I’ve had fanny packs that were more useful than this bag appears to be.

  I have not returned this bag because the cost of shipping, coupled with the dealer’s 20% restock fee and the cost of the gasoline I would burn getting to and from the post office assures me that I would recover less than $5 of the original cost, and frankly, my time is worth more than that. Oh well, maybe I can give it as a gift.

  I give this item a 2-star rating only because I assume the bag has some uses, though functioning as either a purse or a tot bag is not one of them.

  This is a great tote; I’ve been using it every day since I got it and it’s holding up really well; I tend to be hard on my purses! It’s also
  stylish and is a good organizer.

  This book is a nice frame of reference for the evolution of popular handbags. Describes the genesis of the various styles of handbags and better known brand names. Not real wordy, this little book provides a pictorial trip through the history of handbags.

  Another excellent book on handbags with beautiful photographs and descriptions by designer/historical context.

  Handbags is a light-weight (as in no information on what makes a great handbag great) lots of very good photographs of iconic “classic” and “it” bags. Lovely biographical sketches of taste-making handbag designers and many historical bags and historical details (but not adequate if you are doing historical costumes). One brief sketch of how a very high-quality (Hermes) bag is constructed. All in all a lovely read, though, because of the pictures.

  colorful and cute. Informative and even fits in your handbag!! i leave it out on the table and it attracts many to pick up and read. its an easy fun read!

  This is a great product because it shows you all the collection of purses that have been made. It has the expensive ones and the wierd ones and how they are made popular.

  As someone who just doesn’t carry that much stuff in my purse, this bag suits me perfectly. I love the styling and the side pockets are great for cellphones. The closure has a strong magnet, however if you’re worried about having your bag stay 100% closed you might need something more secure.

  i bought this as a graduation present for one of my high school friends. i’m glad i went with this – it’s the perfect size for her, it carries a good bit of stuff, it’s leather, and it was a pretty good price. she was so pleased with it that when i gave it to her on saturday at her graduation, she came to church the next day with it! her female family members were jealous and poking fun at me and her about it, because they liked it too.

  all i can say now is, i’m glad i bought this for her!

  This is a great bag, haven’t had any issues with losing things due to the magnetic closure as other reviewers have mentioned. There is also a thin strap that snaps across the inside of the bag for support that helps keep the shape and things in place. I actually like the ease of getting into the bag for keys and cell phone. This bag holds a ton of stuff without taking up a whole lot of room, its like a “Mini-me” of large totes. I love the leather and the design on the lining. I get a ton of compliments on this unassuming bag. My only complaint is that the leather “tabs” you can see extending from the handle are starting to curl up and not be flush with the bag. Still, I am very fond of this bag and use it daily. Also, I bought this at Marshalls for just under $50 bucks. Overall, I would recommend this bag- even at $80 because of the leather and construction.
